Do you need some oomf in your writing life? Or maybe you’re on the edge of burnout and need a very real reminder to sllloowwww down. The Quill & Cup 20 can be just the nudge for what you need: to rest, to write, or to refine the ideas you want to get on the page.

WHAT DO YOU NEED? CHOOSE YOUR OWN CHALLENGE:

5 days per week for 4 weeks in March

REFINE:

Spend 20 minutes a day refining your story (brainstorm, outline, or revise).

WRITE:

Write 20,000 new words in March.

REST:

On the egde of burn out? Spend at least 20 minutes/day filling your cup.

How It Works

  • Dedicate at least 20 minutes each day for 5 days per week during March (that means there are 2 rest days included per week!) to commit to any of the following challenges:

    • Choose to write 20,000 new words or
    • Spend at least 20 minutes per session refining your work or
    • Spend at least 20 minutes per day doing a cup-filling activity.

By doing so, you'll be steadily building your creative habits (yes, yes, yes, rest is a non-negotiable of the creative process!).

  • When you say you're going to show up for your writing life and then don't, the disappointment really starts to build. Let's stop that from getting any worse. By committing to the Q&C 20, you'll start to show up again -- and that builds momentum while rebuilding integrity (in yourself!).

Consistency matters more than strict daily routines.

  • As a member of the Quill & Cup community, you'll not only have built-in community ready to support you and hold you accountable, but you'll also receive...
    • Access to a specific #challenges channel in the Sisterhood Slack, so you're not overwhelmed by new people, perspectives, etc. Safe and intimate, as we like to keep it in the Hedgie House!
    • Over 100 hours of recorded content in our educational Prickle library to help you through any writing blocks in craft, mindset, and/or authorpreneurship.
    • Live, virtual writing sessions (what we call Prickles) are available and encouraged for all Hedgies, too, but not a necessary part of the challenge.
    • Opportunities to receive live and/or asynchronous feedback on your work/ideas.
    • And way, way, more.
